This is not my home...
Not where I reside.
But where I thrive,
That is my home.
When I first arrived
Here in this grassy plateau...
I saw no one else.
Just an empty flatland.
But one by one,
The curtains fell
Off of their cold,
Rigid, steel hooks.
What lie behind...
I thought I'd never find.
A faint shadow...
In the shape of a person.
One behind each sheet,
Standing as straight as
The trunk of a tree.
Looking strangely puzzled.
And one by one,
As I gaze at the figures,
Their attention become focused
On the figure... of me.
Slowly, I began to see
Who they truly were.
They were my family.
Tried and true.
Not related by blood,
As one would normally think.
But related by spirit,
The most unbreakable link.
There were my brothers,
Standing next to my sisters.
My twin stand between them all.
But in front...
The one whom I love.
The one person who,
Through all the pains of life,
I would always love.
Here in this land,
We are never farther apart
Than a few feet,
No matter the physical distance.
Not where I reside.
But where I thrive,
That is my home.
When I first arrived

My Mind...
Let's draw a picture,
With a beautiful twist.
It starts on my thigh,
And ends on my wrist.
My eyes give me away,
Though there's a smile on my lips.
I want my bones to protrude,
Especially on my hips.
It's an everyday battle,
Until finally you disappear,
Because you screamed your lungs out,
But nobody wanted to hear.
Cry yourself to sleep,
Another sleepless night,
Trapped in my own fucking mind.
I've been told that dreams,
Can come true.
But they forgot to mention,
That nightmares are dreams too.
So when will I wake up from mine,
Because I'm in a race against time.

Ignore Advice
Write ten bad poems.
Write one hundred
bad poems.
Write profoundly.
Write and drink.
Keep a notebook with you,
write in public
and make sure that others
know that you are, in fact,
writing.
Write a love poem,
then throw it away
because all the good ones
have already been read.
Ignore advice,
write about the decision
instead of the feeling.
Write one sentence
-make indents,
say to yourself that
this is it, THIS is IT.
Then delete,
and tell yourself that again.

The Key to Stop Loving You
Tear myself to pieces,
Rip my heart in two,
All these things I've tried,
To find the key to stop loving you.
Cut myself to ribbons,
Rejoin the worthless few,
There has to be some way,
To find the key to stop loving you.
Abandon all our old friends,
Meet somebody new,
Perhaps this is the way,
To find the key to stop loving you.
Give up on the world,
On everything I knew,
This must be the way,
To find the key to stop loving you.
Travelled the whole world,
Now I just don't know what to do,
Guess I'll never find the key,
To make me stop loving you.

'Tis a piece for my family. My brothers and sisters, my twin, and my love.
